Magnolia season in Sydney is one of my favourite times of the year. There’s a distinct hint of spring in the air and everyone begins to feel a little more upbeat as they look forward to warmer days and feeling the sun on their skin again.
Winter has been fairly mild this year, so we’ve been let off lightly, but the promise of spring days and longer evenings is exciting and something to be celebrated.

Every second or third garden boasts a beautiful magnolia tree and most of them are currently in bloom. I can’t help myself from taking lots of photos of these enviable blossoms. The pink ones are rather lovely, but the simplicity of the white magnolia with the pale pink centre is hard to beat.

Take a walk around your neighbourhood in spring and see how many magnolias are lending their stunning blooms to the skyline.
